Matt Galligan, CEO and founder of SimpleGeo recently spoke with Social Bits about his new technology. SimpleGeo is about making it easy for developers to create location aware software, it provides developers with the understanding of the coordinates that they might get from their devices, “for example, if you’re building a dating app and want to get a better idea of where your users are we can translate that coordinate into something meaningful, it could be a city, state or neighbourhood, even the weather of where that persons standing, we’re trying to develop a world where application developers don’t have to worry about complexities of geo location" SimpleGeo's API Tools and SDKs make it possible for developers to take their location-aware app ideas from sketch to launch in much less time, with far less complexity. The possibilities for the uses of geo location based software are endless. “In brad Fitzpatricks’ garage, he built way of communicating to garage door, connected to the internet. This is based on his geo location and maps as soon as he gets within a certain radius of his home, his garage will then automatically open, it may be laziness but its pretty cool.”
